A Single Man was amazing for just that very reason - artistry. You can tell from the trailer it's going to be great.

Now if you like that then you have to check out TETRO. It too has amazing visuals, and a classic artful sensibility throughout, which Coppola aptly channels.

That's my favorite one of his too. Although it's Gondry's Bjork videos win the prize all around.

So, which of you artists has watched A Single Man and been blown away by the artistry put forth in it's visual presentation? It's like someone took everything I've ever wanted to do with color and made a truly great film out of it.

Curious to see what you think of Move of Ten. I listened to Oversteps the other day - first Autechre for me since the post AE stuff wet off the 4/4 rails. Found it listenable, had some solid beats, nice ambience, but ultimately still kinda stuck in that sound from 1997. There's really nothing new going on. Which I was surprised and mildly disappointed to find.

Been listening to Efterklang - Tripper/Spinner re issue. Glitchy, yet nit so far that there isn't songs. I rather like it. It's mellow and warm despite the cold electronics involved. A rare feat.

Cool.  Thanks for the Rod Racer link.  I had seen that before, but forgot about it.  Looks like it comes out soon.

I think Eric, Alexis and maybe Nathan might be coming to Heroes Con next year.  Should be good.
